Located in the Important Bird Area (IBA) cloud forest of San Antonio, Km-18, La Florida Birding has been a sanctuary for birdwatchers and bird photographers since 2019.
La Florida birding is home of the elusive Chestnut Wood-Quail, a captivating endemic bird. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to capture stunning photographs, as our birding hotspot boasts a rich tapestry of over 340 bird species, including 24 species of hummingbirds and up to 30 species of vibrant Tanagers.

At La Florida Birding, we have expanded and improved our facilities to offer you the most comfortable and pleasant rest. We now have three modern wooden cabins, each with two independent rooms and a private bathroom, perfect for enjoying nature with all the comforts you deserve.

- Rates for single or double occupancy: $580.00. Discount for tour operators (applicable for advance payment only): -10%.
- Shared room for guide and driver: $275,000.
- The rates include a choice of premium coffee, infusion, or tea, as well as our exquisite and exclusive house refreshing drink.
- Advance payment: 50% required to secure your room, balance due at check-out.
- Reservations: Contact us to check availability and book your stay.
- Check-in: 3:00 pm (latest 8:00 pm). Early entry before 3:00 pm is possible (subject to availability) with an additional charge of $50,000 per person.
- Check-out: 1:00 pm.
- Payment methods: Cash, Bancolombia transfers, Nequi (no surcharge), credit cards (approx. 6% surcharge via POS system).
- For tours observing birds within the forest, such as observing the Little Tinamou at 2:00 pm or photographing hummingbirds in bloom, a mandatory guide service is required. The cost is $70,000 for groups of up to 6 people. You can choose either of the two activities for $35,000 each.
