Located within the AICA (Important Bird and Biodiversity Area) at Km 18 of the road from Cali to Buenaventura, La Florida Birding has been a sanctuary for birdwatchers and bird photographers since 2019.
La Florida Birding is renowned as the home of the elusive Chestnut Wood-Quail (Odontophorus hyperythrus) and the stunning Multicolored Tanager (Chlorochrysa nitidissima), two captivating bird species endemic to Colombia. Here, you will have the opportunity to take breathtaking photographs, as our birdwatching site boasts over 340 recorded bird species, including 24 types of hummingbirds and up to 30 species of tanagers.

At La Florida Birding, we have expanded and improved our facilities to offer you the most comfortable and pleasant stay. We now have six cozy wooden cabins.

The price per room for single or double occupancy is $580,000 (2025) / $640,000 (2026).
Shared room for guide or driver: $275,000 (2025) / $360,000 (2026).
Check-in: 3:00 pm (latest at 8:00 pm). Early check-in is possible (subject to availability) with an additional charge of $50,000 per person.
Check-out: 1:00 pm.

For birdwatching tours inside the forest, such as the observation of the Little Tinamou at 2:00 pm or hummingbird photography at the flowers, hiring a guide is mandatory. The cost is $70,000 (2025) / $80,000 (2026) per group, not per person. This rate applies to groups of up to 6 people. You may also choose either activity separately for $35,000 (2025) / $40,000 (2026) each.

To confirm your reservation, a deposit of 50% of the total amount is required: for lodging, at least 60 days before check-in; for day visits, at least 6 days before your visit.

If needed, you can request confirmation of your reservation via email.
If you cancel your reservation within 60 days prior to the check-in date, your case will be evaluated individually. Depending on the situation and availability, the reservation may be rescheduled. However, rescheduling is not guaranteed without applying a penalty.
Cancellations made less than 30 days prior to the check-in date will incur a penalty of 100% of the total reservation amount.
In case of a no-show on the check-in date, the total amount of the reserved nights will be charged according to the agreed rate.
If the guest decides to leave before the originally reserved check-out date, a penalty of 100% of the unused nights will be applied, according to the agreed rate.
